The Chalmers Pre-Authorized Remittance
("PAR") Plan

The "PAR" Plan allows congregational supporters who choose to do so to designate a regular monthly contribution to the Chalmers Congregation to be transferred directly from their peronal bank account into the congregation's account. The specified contribution would be transferred from the donor's account on or about the 20th. day of each month.

Donors may, of course, adjust their specified monthly donation at any time and changes requested by the end of any month will be implemented by the next transfer date. There is a small administrative fee to the congregation for each entry and each cheque processed, but on average this will work out to less than the cost related to processing weekly donations made by cheque.

Those who opt to participate in the "PAR" plan will be provided with small cards which they may place on the offering plate weekly in lieu of a donation envelope. Special offerings may still be made whenever desired.

The major benefit to the Chalmers Congregation is that it will give us a certain stability in anticipated monthly receipts for the ongoing work of the congregation. Also, donors who intend to give weekly will be spared the pain of those "catch up times" after vacation absences and may also find the cheque service charges on their personal accounts somewhat reduced.

The "PAR" Program was introduced in the fall of 2002 and began to function in January, 2003. Donors may join at any time. The Board of Managers has produced a brochure outlining the plan and answering additional questions you may have about it. The brochure also includes a simple registration form for those who wish to participate. Those brochures are available in the narthex at the church or may be requested by phone (905-383-3033) or e-mail (chalmers.admin@bellnet.ca). If you have questions, please request to have a representative of the Board of Managers contact you to answer them.

We thank all of the members and friends of the Chalmers Congregation for their gracious financial support of the Congregation and its programs by whatever means they choose. The "PAR" Plan is simply presented as another option for the convenience of our supporters.
